Amelia Earhart

Amelia Earhart was the first woman to pilot a plane across the continents and attempted to navigate it across the world.

She tragically disappeared somewhere across the western Pacific Ocean and was never heard from again.

She was rewarded as the first woman to win the Distinguished Flying Cross for her contributions to the airplane.


Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman created the Underground Railroad to help her and fellow slaves to escape the harsh life of laboring.

She was determined, helping 300 slaves get from Maryland to Canada using that Underground Railroad and helping herself as well.

 

Sally Ride

Sally Ride

Sally Ride was the first female astronaut to reach space in 1983.

Sally was also very knowledgeable and courageous, as she had obtained many degrees in sciences while managing two trips to space and back.
